Invest in the future by guiding a young adult through one-on-one mentorship. As a mentor at KiluWorks, you serve as a friend, role model, and listener for mentees. You have the remarkable opportunity to guide and influence the educational journey and personal development of diaspora youth/young adults. Mentors are instrumental in enhancing their mentees’ academic achievements, nurturing their leadership potential, and supporting their emotional and social development.
Personalized One-on-One Mentoring: Engage in a mentoring relationship that fosters emotional and intellectual growth. Commit to monthly meetings totaling at least two hours to discuss academic progress, life challenges, and personal aspirations.
Interactive Leadership and Career Workshops: Participate in and occasionally lead workshops designed to equip students with critical leadership skills and career insights. These sessions help prepare students for future academic and professional endeavors.
Ongoing Mentor Development: Receive continuous training and support from KiluWorks, designed to enhance your mentoring skills and deepen your understanding of diaspora students’ cultural and educational needs.

Volunteers are essential to the success of KiluWorks Leadership Institute, providing support that helps sustain and enhance our programs. By becoming a volunteer, you contribute to various activities, from event planning and execution to administrative assistance and community outreach. Whether you have a few hours a month or can commit more regularly, your efforts will help us create a supportive environment for our students and ensure the smooth operation of our initiatives.
